On March 4th, a Lunch and Learn “training” seminar was hosted at the MISD Science and Math Center from 11:30-1:30. Lunch was provided courtesy of Clayton Williams Energy, Inc. The purpose of the meeting is to integrate the MISD science coach's and teacher's skills with our volunteer group's knowledge to develop the most effective way to deliver our PowerPoint presentation (developed by the Youth Education Committee) to students while maintaining a high interest and excitement level. Several volunteers showed up (pics below) and a good time was had by all.

On March 5th and 6th, UTPB is hosting the annual Youth Science Fair. They need judges for March 6th. It is easy, painless, and will serve a greater purpose in these students' lives. Additionally, you will get to experience, first-hand, the next generation of scienctific intelligence! Breadfast and lunch are provided for the judges.

April 15th is a Career Fair at Jane Long Elementary. They are looking for individuals to volunteer 1 hour of their time from 6:00-7:00 in the evening to share with students what they do and what career and education path they took. Another great way of getting youth excited about careers in earth science!

WTGS members have worked hard to get where we are today. By volunteering and giving back to the youth in our communities, we can assure ourselves that there will be an exciting and positive future ahead of us all. The few minutes you spend with students could be the few minutes that change their lives.

We hope to see you soon!
