Leonardian Shelf to Basin Core Workshop

AVALON UPDATE TO THE PBS-SEPM CORE WORKSHOP

PBS-SEPM is excited to announce that we now have complete coverage of the Leonardian section, from Tidal Flats of the Abo Formation to Toe of Slope deposits in the Avalon Formation.  Along the way, and in between, you will also be able to see Reef Crest, Shoal, Foreslope, Inner Shelf, Mid-Slope, and Outer Ramp examples from six wells, covering over 1700’ of rock.

Join us in the center bay of the Midland Center, in downtown Midland, Texas, from 9:00 to 2:00 on Tuesday, March 31, 2015 for a unique opportunity to view the transition from slope to basin.  Hear six experts from ConocoPhillips, CoreLabs, Hess Corporation and Whiting Petroleum as they walk us through these depositional environments, discuss the key features of the transitions between them, and highlight common diagenesis phenomenon associated with the Leonardian section.  (Details of the core offerings are shown below.)
