SIPES always welcomes guests, and no reservations are required.  Guest luncheon and program cost is $20 to be paid to the treasurer at the meeting.  There is no charge for members.  Reception begins at 11:15, Buffet lunch starts at 11:30 and the program begins at noon.

He is also Professor Emeritus from the Pevehouse Chair of Petroleum Geology at Texas Tech and is a past director of The Center for Applied Petrophysical and Reservoir Studies.  He ...

George B. Asquith, Ph.D (University of Wisconsin/Madison) is currently a Professor of Geosciences at Texas Tech University specializing in petrophysics. He is also Professor Emeritus from the Pevehouse Chair of Petroleum Geology at Texas Tech and is a past director of The Center for Applied Petrophysical and Reservoir Studies.  He has received AAPG's Harrison Schmitt Award, Presidents Award, Distinguished Educator Award, and the Leverson Award.   He has published numerous abstracts, papers and books and has worked for both major oil companies and small independents.  Dr. Asquith' s company and AAPG schools are: Hydrocarbon-Bearing Mud Rocks, Shaly Sand Analysis, Old E log Analysis, Basic Well Log Analysis, and Carbonate Petrophysics Contact email: <a>George.Asquith@ttu.edu>
